Refunds, Billing, and Purchase Policy

1. The Zippy Learner Guarantee

We want you to be thrilled with your progress. Because our services include immediate access to intellectual property and live lounge/community events, we have established the following clear boundaries for refunds.

2. Lounge/Community Memberships (Skool Tiers)

Our lounge/community tiers (Fluency Circle and VIP) are billed as recurring subscriptions.

  • 14-Day “Happiness Guarantee”: For first-time subscribers, we offer a 100% money-back guarantee within the first 14 days of your initial purchase. If the “Zippy” method isn’t for you, email us at contact@zippylearner.com for a full refund.
  • After 14 Days: No refunds are provided after the first 14 days of your membership.
  • Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Skool “Settings > Billing” page. You will retain access until the end of your current billing cycle. No partial refunds are provided for unused days in a month.

3. Physical & Digital Books

  • Physical Books: Purchases made through third-party retailers (Amazon, Kyobo, etc.) are subject to the return policies of those specific retailers. Zippy Learner cannot process returns for books bought elsewhere.
  • Digital Downloads (PDFs/E-books): Because digital files are delivered instantly and cannot be “returned,” all sales of standalone digital guides, worksheets, and e-books are final.

4. 10-Week Sprint Sessions & Live Events

If you purchase a “VIP Pass” or a specific “Live Sprint” package separately from a monthly membership:

  • Before the Sprint Starts: 100% refund available up to 48 hours before the first live session.
  • After the Sprint Starts: As these sessions involve live interaction and limited “Hot Seats,” no refunds are provided once the 10-week cycle has begun.

5. Billing & Payment Security

Payments for the Fluency Circle and VIP tiers are processed securely by Skool.com. Zippy Learner does not store or have direct access to your full credit card information. For physical book purchases, payments are handled entirely by the respective retailer (Amazon, Kyobo, etc.) under their own privacy and payment terms. 

6. Processing Refunds

  • Lounge/Community Tiers: All memberships are managed via Skool. We offer a 14-day ‘Happiness Guarantee’ for your initial subscription. To request a refund within this window, email contact@zippylearner.com.
  • Books & External Sales: Zippy Learner cannot issue refunds for physical books or digital products purchased through third-party retailers (Amazon, Kyobo, etc.). Those transactions are governed by the retailer’s refund policy.

7. Support

  • Response Time: We aim to respond to all billing and support inquiries within 48 business hours (KST).

Terms of Service & Media Release

Introduction

Zippy Learner provides modern language learning resources through our website (https://zippylearner.com), our books, and our lounge/community hosted on the Skool platform. By using our “Services,” you agree to these terms.  You must be at least 18 years old (or have parental consent) to join our paid lounge/community tiers.

1. The Zippy Learner Ecosystem

Our services are delivered through a hybrid model:

  • The Website: A marketing and informational hub.
  • The Library: Books sold via third-party retailers (Amazon, Kyobo, etc.).
  • The Lounge/Community: Our “Fluency Lounge” and “AI Lab” hosted on Skool.com. By joining our lounge/community, you acknowledge that you are also subject to Skool’s own Terms of Service.

2. Media Release & Content Waiver

This is a condition of participation in our Live Streams and Lounge/Community. Zippy Learner records live group sessions, “Hot Seats,” and “Fluency Lounge” events for the purpose of creating educational content for our member vault and marketing materials. We record these sessions so that members in different time zones can still learn from the ‘Aha!’ moments shared during the live events.

  • Grant of Rights: By participating in a live session (via video or audio) or posting in our lounge/community, you grant Zippy Learner a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your voice, image, username, and comments.
  • Purpose: These recordings may be used inside the Zippy Learner paid classroom, in promotional social media clips, or in future book/course marketing.
  • No Compensation: You acknowledge that you will not receive any financial compensation for the use of your likeness or contributions, even if Zippy Learner profits from the resulting content.
  • Privacy Option: If you do not wish to be recorded, you must keep your camera and microphone turned off and participate via the text chat only.

3. Intellectual Property

All content, including the “Zippy” method, proprietary AI prompts, lesson videos, and book samples, are the property of Zippy Learner.

  • Personal Use Only: You may download materials for your personal learning.
  • No Commercial Sharing: You are strictly prohibited from copying, reselling, or “leaking” our AI prompts or course videos to non-members or other platforms.

4. Third-Party Platforms & Links

  • Skool: We use Skool to host our lounge/community. We are not responsible for technical outages or data practices on Skool’s platform.
  • Affiliate Disclosure: We may include links to resources or books (e.g., Amazon Associates). If you purchase through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
  • External Retailers: When you buy a book via Amazon or Kyobo, your transaction is with them. We are not responsible for shipping or payment issues on third-party retail sites.

5. AI Tools Disclaimer

We teach you how to use AI (like ChatGPT) as a tool. Zippy Learner does not own these AI platforms. We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated responses or any changes in the terms of service of those third-party AI companies.

6. Membership & Cancellations

  • The 10-Week Sprint: We operates on a continuous monthly membership model. While our curriculum is delivered in 10-week seasonal ‘Sprints,’ your subscription provides ongoing access to the lounge/community, the lesson archives, and the AI Lab. You may remain a member for a single sprint or continue your subscription indefinitely to access future seasons and the full library.
  • Subscription: Paid tiers (Fluency Circle and VIP) are recurring subscriptions. You can cancel at any time via your Skool settings.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zippy Learner’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD (whichever is lower).

8. Data Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our separate [Privacy Policy] to understand how we collect and use your data.

9. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. You agree to the jurisdiction of the courts in Daegu, South Korea, for any legal disputes.

1. General Notice of Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all materials—including but not limited to physical books, ebooks, guides, worksheets, AI prompts, video lessons, and live stream recordings—bearing the “Zippy Learner” name or produced by the Zippy Learner studio are the exclusive property of Zippy Learner.

We retain all rights to our proprietary teaching methods, including the “Zippy” AI Training System and our situational writing frameworks.

2. Prohibited Use

Any unauthorized reproduction, redistribution, or commercial exploitation of our content, in part or in whole, is strictly prohibited. This includes:

  • Prompt Leaking: Sharing or selling proprietary AI prompts provided within our paid tiers (Fluency Circle & VIP).
  • Recording Redistribution: Downloading and re-hosting our “Live Lounge” or “Vault” videos on other platforms (YouTube, social media, etc.).
  • Book Piracy: Modifying or distributing digital copies of our physical or digital books.

3. Your Rights (Limited License)

When you purchase a book or subscribe to a Zippy Learner tier, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, non-commercial use:

  • Physical/Digital Books: You may use these for your personal study. You may not photocopy or share digital files with non-purchasers.
  • Lounge/Community Content: You may use our prompts and videos to improve your own English skills. You may not use these materials to teach your own classes or train your own AI models for commercial use.
  • Course Materials: You may print worksheets for your own use.

4. AI-Generated Content

While Zippy Learner provides the prompts and methodology, we do not claim ownership of the specific outputs generated by your personal interactions with third-party AI (like ChatGPT or Claude). However, the structure and logic of the prompts provided by Zippy Learner remain our copyrighted intellectual property.

5. Media & Live Participation

As outlined in our Terms of Service, Zippy Learner retains the copyright to all recordings of live sessions, including your participation therein. These recordings are protected works and may not be recorded or distributed by members.

6. Accuracy & Disclaimer

While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of our materials, language and technology evolve rapidly. Zippy Learner makes no guarantees regarding the completeness or reliability of the content. Our materials are for educational and informational purposes only.
