Based in South Korea, I’m an author, educator, and AI enthusiast dedicated to helping learners find their natural voice.
I’ve spent years in the English education system, standing at the front of classrooms and watching a heartbreaking pattern. I saw incredibly dedicated students spend thousands of hours—and lots of money—on ‘textbook English.’ It was English that felt stiff, robotic, and ultimately, silent.
They knew the grammar rules, but they couldn’t hold a conversation at a coffee shop. They had the test scores, but they didn’t have the confidence.
For too many, English was a mountain of memorization with no path to the top. They had the books, but they didn’t have the bridge. I realized that the problem wasn’t the students—it was the tools. Traditional methods focus on the “what” of language, but they completely ignore the “how” of human connection.
I knew there had to be a better way—a method that moved at the speed of the modern world. I wanted to create a system that combined high-energy, real-world materials with the transformative power of AI. Imagine having a personal coach that never gets tired, an environment where mistakes are just data points, and a lounge/community that treats language as a living thing.
That’s why I founded Zippy Learner.
