At Zippy Learner, we take your privacy as seriously as your fluency. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data across our website, our books, and our community platform.

1. Data We Collect

We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide our services:

  • Identity & Contact Data: Name and email address when you join our community or download a lead magnet.
  • Multimedia Content: Images, video, and audio recordings from “Fluency Lounge” live sessions or community posts (per our Media Release in the Terms of Service).
  • Technical Data: IP address and browser type for security and analytics.
  • Transaction Data (excluding full credit card numbers): Purchase history of books or community tiers.

2. Third-Party Platforms (The Ecosystem)

We do not host your community data or process payments directly. By using Zippy Learner, you acknowledge that your data is also processed by these primary third parties:

  • Skool.com: Our community host. They handle your profile, community posts, and engagement data. [See Skool Privacy Policy].
  • Payment Processors: We use Stripe and PayPal for international transactions and NHN KCP for Korean transactions for items sold directly by on Zippylearner.com. Third-party services use their own processors, so please see their legal details regarding your data. We do not store your full credit card details.
  • Email Marketing: We use MailerLite and/or Skool’s native email system  to send you lesson updates and downloadable materials (upon request).
  • Analytics: We track visits to our site and visitor behavior using Google Analytics. 

3. AI Tools & Data Privacy

We teach you how to use AI tools like ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), and Claude (Anthropic).

  • Your Privacy: When you use these tools for your English practice, your data is subject to the privacy policies of those specific AI providers.
  • Our Interaction: We do not see your private conversations with your personal AI tutors unless you choose to share a screenshot or transcript within the Zippy Learner community.

4. Media & Live Recordings

As part of our Fluency Lounge and Hot Seat sessions, we record video and audio. These recordings are stored in our member vault on Skool. By participating with your camera or microphone on, you consent to this processing. You may participate anonymously via text chat to opt-out of multimedia collection.

5. Children’s Privacy

Zippy Learner is designed for adult learners (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you are under 18, you must use our services under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian who holds the account.

6. International Data Transfers

Zippy Learner is based in South Korea. However, our digital infrastructure (Skool, Email tools, Hosting) uses servers located in the United States and Europe. By using our services, you consent to your data being transferred across international borders.

7. Data Retention

  • Active Membership: We keep your data as long as your Skool account is active.
  • Legal Requirements: Transaction data is kept for the period required by Korean tax and business law.
  • Your Rights: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing contact@zippylearner.com. For users in the EU (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have additional rights to data portability and the right to be forgotten.

8. Use of Cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Keep you logged into the website.
  • Track the effectiveness of our “AI Starter Pack” downloads.
  • Manage affiliate attribution so we can compensate our partners.
